Search for Scholarships University of Sheffield is funding a network of interdisciplinary scholarship related to how computing the 21st century can be utilized to improve the lives of the elderly and disabled. Three studentships are available including health research, engineering, computer science and sociology and will have significant opportunities to work across disciplines.
The Search for Scholarships following core themes will support network activities:
• Focus on supporting technology, a tool designed to enable older and disabled people to maintain independence, in some cases with assistance from health and social care services.
• The construction and testing which is informed by the needs and desires of end users.
